Poppin' bbq

Hello Foodie Friends! You all would not believe all the crazy excitement that has been going on around our kitchen! First of all, we have started BBQ'n again! We have recently purchased a Pellet Smoker/Grill by the name of that boot shaped state that has something to do with a rat and a mouth. The care instructions say "DO NOT ALLOW THE PELLETS TO GET WET!" Well apparently the cover was off of it and it rained. I put the cover back on and a week later started up the grill. Oh my Meat Mallet! I was trying to declog the auger and a huge POP sounded. I have never gotten my bell rung but I totally understand and know how that feels! I felt like I was there looking but stuff wasn't adding up! Ya'll I was in a daze, a DAZE ya hear! I just knew I messed the thing up! The next day after I came to my senses, I call the company and was able to get a igniter switch sent out without charge since it was still under warranty! Thank the Gooseberries! So all evening Sunday we were declogging and refitting the igniter switch! So I learned my lesson! I will not leave pellets in the hopper anymore period! This is the first meal we made when the Grill was prepared! BBQ Read Salted Chicken, Hawaiian BBQ Beans and a Chopped Salad! We BBQ year round so stay tuned for some food eatin'!
Here is your Tastee Tid Bit
Simple Chop't Salad
  • 1 medium head romaine, chopped (4 to 6 cups)

  • 1 seedless cucumber, diced (3 1/2 cups)

  • 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved (1 3/4 cups)

  • 1 red bell pepper, diced (1 1/2 cups)

  • 2 celery stalks chopped (1 cup)

  • 3 carrots, finely chopped (1 3/4 cups)

  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped

  • 1 cup black olives, halved

  • 3 hard boiled eggs diced

  • 1/4 cup corn

Chop All your goodies, mix them in a bowl and wahlaa
